Who can be a Rainbow? Any girl aged five or over can be a Rainbow. The oldest Rainbows are usually about seven years old. The Rainbow Promise Rainbows make this simple Promise that they share with members around the world: I promise that I will do my best to love my God and to be kind and helpful. What do Rainbows do? Rainbows take part in indoor and outdoor activities as part of their programme called the Rainbow Jigsaw. Our meetings are full of games and activities that provide challenging opportunities for Rainbows to think for themselves and take an active part in unit decision-making. Everything a Rainbow does helps her to develop. We meet on a Friday evening in the parish hall from 5pm to 6pm where we make new friends, sing, play games, crafts, cook and learn. For example, we celebrated Chinese New Year by making lanterns, tasted Haggis on Burns Night, made heart shaped biscuits for Valentine’s Day, had a pancake race, enjoyed an Easter party and invited the mums for tea and cake to celebrate Mothering Sunday – and all in one term! When Rainbows meet? 5pm - 6pm Friday evenings at the Parish Hall For more information about the 2nd A Teddington Rainbows please email rainbows@stmarywithstalban.org |
