Music plays an enhancing and integral part of the church services with its choir, orchestra, solo instrumentalists and occasional jazz band. The choir accompanies the service every Sunday leading the congregational hymns, and singing anthems, hymns and psalm settings for communion. The highlight of the year is the Nine Lessons and Carols service before Christmas; last year, the enlarged choir and orchestra performed excerpts from Handel’s Messiah before a large and appreciative congregation. In order to maintain the standard of the choir, we would welcome new members, sopranos, altos, tenors and basses of all ages. Choir rehearsals are on Fridays at 6.30pm for 1 hour, but the time is subject to change if not convenient.
